PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exchanging method of a saddle ferrule, and an assembly of the ferrule and a saddle ferrule exchanger, in which water, etc., can be prevented from leaking out of a water service pipe's water connector even if the saddle ferrule itself cannot fully exert a water sealing function by adjusting the switching state of an exchanger switching valve of the saddle ferrule exchanger. SOLUTION: The saddle ferrule exchanger 20 is installed in the upper part of the saddle ferrule 10, and a piercing machine 35 is additionally installed in the upper part of the saddle ferrule exchanger 20. The exchanger switching valve 25 of the saddle ferrule exchanger 20 is opened to pierce an upper cap 13 of the saddle ferrule 10 by the piercing machine 35. Then, the exchanger switching valve 25 is closed, the piercing machine 35 is removed, and a water connector sealer 40 is installed. Then, the exchanger switching valve 25 is reopened, and an expanding and contradicting element 41 of the water connector sealer 40 is inserted and expanded in the water connector 2 to seal the water connector 2.
