PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit failure of an armature 5 by abolishing a construction allowing rubbing of grinding foreign substance into a clearance formed between a SMC stator 6 and a stator case 7 in a grinding process. SOLUTION: A position of a tip annular end face 62 of the stator case 7 of a solenoid valve 1 is retracted by a predetermined axial dimension L in an opposite direction to an armature side from a tip magnetic pole face 51 of the SMC stator 6. This makes it hard that the grinding foreign substance produced in the grinding process is rubbed into the clearance formed between the SMC stator 6 and the stator case 7 when the tip magnetic pole face 51 of the SMC stator 6 is ground into a planar shape by a grinding wheel. In operation of the solenoid valve 1, the grinding foreign substance does not enter between the armature 5 and a stopper 8, a full lift amount of the armature 5 is not reduced, and a predetermined air gap can be ensured between a stator side end face of the armature 5 and the tip magnetic pole face 51 of the SMC stator 6.
