摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air/fuel ratio control device for an internal combustion engine capable of suppressing deterioration of accuracy of air/fuel ratio control accompanying with reduction of reliability of an air/fuel ratio detection means such as an O<SB>2</SB>sensor arranged on an exhaust passage in a downstream side of an exhaust cleaning catalyst. SOLUTION: The air/fuel ratio control device for the internal combustion engine is provided with the O<SB>2</SB>sensor arranged in a downstream side of the exhaust cleaning catalyst 10 provided on the exhaust passage 4 of the internal combustion engine 1 and outputting a signal corresponding to an air/fuel ratio of an exhaust gas. A fuel injection amount of the internal combustion engine 1 is feedback-corrected so as to eliminate deviation of a target air/fuel ratio and the air/fuel ratio detected by the O<SB>2</SB>sensor 12. Reliability of output of the O<SB>2</SB>sensor 12 is determined based on a suction air amount of the internal combustion engine 1 and the feedback-correction is forbidden when it is determined that the reliability is insufficient.
