PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder block structure capable of balancing and adjusting cooling of a bolt and ensuring of strength fastening force at high dimension. SOLUTION: A rib 8 for making a bottom part 5d of a water jacket 5 shallower than a lower part 7b of a threaded part 7a of a bolt hole 7 is provided near the bolt hole 7 of a bolt for fixing the cylinder head 6 to a cylinder block 1 formed with the water jacket 5 around the cylinder 3. It is made deeper than the bottom part 5d of the water jacket 5 near the bolt hole 7 other than a neighborhood to the bolt hole 7 and flowing of cooling water circulating through the inside of the water jacket 5 is made different at upper and lower sides.
