PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection circuit for portable electronic equipment higher in safety. SOLUTION: This protection circuit 10 protects functional blocks 121-123, which perform functions for performing the operation mode of a portable telephone device 1, from overcurrents. It is equipped with a plurality of fuses F1-F3 which are different in fusing current values form one another, analog switches ASW1-ASW3 which are connected to the plurality of fuses F1-F3 and are connected to the functional blocks 121-123, and a controller 13 which controls the switching of the analog switches ASW1-ASW3, being connected to the analog switches ASW1-ASW3. Then, the controller 13 selects fuses F1-F3 to connect with the functional blocks 121-123 from among the plurality of fuses, according to the operation mode. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
