PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly safe treating method of diabetes which exhibits excellent effects and can suppress a side reaction. SOLUTION: The pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating diabetes comprises an FBPase inhibitor, and administration thereof at the initial stage of the time zone where the interval between meals is the longest allows exhibition of enhanced effects for prevention or treatments of diabetes.
