PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve automation with relation to work of installing steering member installation component parts onto a steering member main body by almost permanently preventing defects due to friction peel of a wire harness without using a double-sided adhesive tape or the like, and eliminating manual work for eliminating a corner part at an edge part of the steering member installation component part. SOLUTION: This harness protective structure is for preventing defects due to friction peel of the wire harness in the steering member installation component parts such as steering support brackets 3 and 3, car body installation brackets 4 and 4, other brackets 5 and 5, etc., in installing the wire harness 10 onto the steering member main body 2 by a lock member such as a clip 6. The edge part 7 facing the wire harness 10 is formed round or spherical as a no-angle form part 8 to be a defect preventing structure.
