The invention filed is related to the structural elements of optical instruments and, in particular, to the protective covers that could be used for the protection of an object-glass and an eye-glass, for example, in binoculars, night vision devices and other optical instruments. The aim to be achieved by the present invention is to eliminate the possibility of losing the protective covers and to provide their fixation when the instrument is in the open position required for use. An optical instrument comprises, at least, one object-glass (1) and/or, at least, one eye-glass (2), each of these being supplied with an appropriate mounts (3) and (4) connected to a movably positioned protective covers (5, 6). Said protective cover (5, 6) is installed with the possibility of is fixation in its open position in relation to said mount (3, 4) and is connected to said mount by means of a hinged pair (7, 8) with one of the elements of said hinged pair (7, 8) being coupled to the side surface of said protective cover (5, 6) and the other element of said hinged pair (7, 8) being connected to the side surface of said mount (3, 4). |
