The grommet has a main body (12) and a head area (14), where two lateral airfoil lips (16) are provided close to the head area. A hollow space (17) is provided in the main body and extends along the entire periphery within the grommet. The hollow space extends inside the main body up to the height of the airfoil lips. Two shoulders (20) are provided between a head (18) and an adjacent lip. An independent claim is also included for a corrugated pipe system with two corrugated pipes and a grommet for sealing two connected corrugated pipes.
