A dawn simulator configurable to activate a audio source at an alarm time, the dawn simulator comprising: means for a user to input a predetermined audio source setting; and means to select said predetermined audio source setting on activation of said audio source. Preferably the audio source includes a radio. The predetermined radio setting may then comprise, for example, a station selection or a radio volume setting. This allows the user to configure the dawn simulator to automatically wake him/her up with a preferred station, and/or at a preferred volume thus allowing the user to configure the dawn simulator to gently wake him/her up with a preferred station. The simulator may be in combination with an illumination device and digital audio data stored in a memory. |
