Pot-shaped vessel, especially a bin (10), comprises a lid (12) having a peripheral edge (33) which connects in a locking manner with a peripheral flange (16) on the edge of the vessel body so that in the locking position the free end edge (34) of the lid edge is covered by a region of the peripheral flange. The vessel also has a plate (36) for unlocking and lifting the lid. The plate is pivotably hinged on a peripheral end edge of the peripheral flange or on the bin body about a pivot axis (45) lying perpendicular or at an acute angle to the horizontal lid plane. The plate is provided with a curved path (40) on an inner longitudinal edge at least partly overlapping the lid edge. The curved path interacts with the free end edge of the lid edge when the plate is pivoted. |
