发明名称 Treatment of fabrics containing cellulosic fibres
摘要 Patterned thermoperforated fabrics containing cellulosic fibres are produced by applying a printing paste containing a metal salt of a mineral acid, e.g. aluminium chloride or sulphate and zinc chloride, on to the areas of the fabric which are to form the perforations, dry heating the fabric to an elevated temperature so that the treated areas are at least partially carbonized and then treating the fabric with a solution of a chlorite, e.g. sodium chlorite, to remove the at least partially carbonised cellulose from the treated areas. The printing paste may also contain wheat starch, British gum, British rubber cement, tragocanth and white pigments, e.g. titanium oxide, or lake dyes if coloured designs are required. When printing grey cloth a nonionic wetting agent or anionic wetting agent, e.g. an alkylnaphthalene sulphonic acid, may be added to the printing paste to promote permeability. The dry heating may be effected at a temperature of at least 120 DEG C. The fabric may then be washed and treated with an aqueous solution containing 1.5-2% by weight of the chlorite and if desired a permeation promoting agent comprising an alkyl-aryl sulphonate in the form of its sodium salt and a polyethenoxy-nonyl-phenol-dialliyl sulphosuccinate adjusted to a pH of 3-5 by the addition of formic acid or a mineral acid and heated with steam at 50 DEG -90 DEG C. It may then be subjected to a dechlorination process and washed with water. Fabrics comprising cotton, staple fibre artificial silks or flax alone or in admixture with silk, wool, acetate rayon or polypropylene fibres may be treated.
