<p>A read/write processing device including: a transport path, adapted to transport a medium therethrough; a read/write unit, adapted to read or write data on the medium and provided at a part of the transport path; a transport mechanism, provided with a first feeding roller and a pressing member adapted to transport the medium to the read/write unit while the pressing member presses the medium toward the first feeding roller; a gap adjusting mechanism, operable to adjust a gap between the read/write unit and the medium in the trasnsport path; a medium release mechanism, operable to release the mdium from the first feeding roller and the pressing member;
a detector, operable to detect a jam of the medium in the transport path; and a controller, operable to control the gap adjusting mechanism to wide the gap, when the detector detects the jam.</p> |
