The method involves transmitting an information unit (IE2), which contains an indication of a hardware-unit, from an application-support unit (ASU) to a core network (NW). An information unit (IE3), which is based upon the unit (IE2) from the unit (ASU), is transmitted from the core network to a communication terminal equipment. An application on the terminal equipment is started based on the unit (IE3) received from the core network. An independent claim is also included for a network arrangement for selecting hardware for running an application on a mobile communication terminal equipment.
