The geared drive for a lock operating rod, where cogwheels move the rod to operate a lock, has a mounting axis (13) for a pair of cogwheels (8) and a stub axis (14) with a bush (15) pushed on to it. One cogwheel (7) of the pair meshes with a drive pinion (5), and the second cogwheel (9) meshes with the drive take-off pinion (10).
