<p>The invention comprises compounds of the general formula <FORM:0970445/C1/1> wherein R1 is a hydroxy group or a direct link to the group Alk1, Alk1 and Alk2 are straight or branched saturated hydrocarbon chains with 2 to 4 carbon atoms, at least two carbon atoms connecting respectively the group CR1 and the group NR4 and the group NR4 and the phenyl radical, R2 and R3 are hydrogen or halogen atoms or hydroxy or alkoxy groups, and R4 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, salts and quaternary compounds thereof, and their preparation by reaction of a compound of formula <FORM:0970445/C1/2> with 2-thienyl-lithium; or a compound of formula <FORM:0970445/C1/3> with phenyl magnesium bromide, to obtain in each case a compound of the first general formula wherein R1 is a hydroxy group and, if desired, converting this product by an acidcatalyzed dehydration to a compound of the first general formula wherein R1 is a direct link to the group Alk1. The compounds of the invention stimulate the central nervous system and dilate the coronary arteries.</p> |
