Device for a receiver decoding given coded television and radio signals

The control has a receiver control device for controlling a receiver over a signal line (10) e.g. infra red signal line. An identification device automatically provides identification information of the control. A communication device automatically transmits the identification information from the control to a broadcast and radio signal initializing system (2) over another signal line (14) e.g. wireless signal line. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) an arrangement including a remote control and a receiver for decoding a predetermined broadcasting and radio signals (B) a method for controlling a receiver that decodes a predetermined broadcasting and radio signals.
