The device comprises an electrode and/or a coloured conductive layer which absorbs light of wavelengths different to the electroluminescent light. For blue electroluminescent light the electrode may comprise Zn, Mo, Cr and the transparent conductive layer (eg Tin, Zinc or indium oxide) may comprise <1% CuO, Co or Ti. The contrast of an EL device in a display panel is thereby improved. |
