PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wear-resistant sliding member excellent in aggressiveness to a partner material and which can reduce the wear of the partner material, especially in an initial stage. SOLUTION: In the wear-resistant sliding member (1) of which the sliding surface is equipped with a thermal-spray coating (4), the coating (4) is formed of a wear-resisting layer (5) and a familiarity layer (6), and the familiarity layer is formed by thermal spraying any one metal among pure copper, brass and bronze on the wear-resisting layer which is not machined. Preferably, the copper content of brass and bronze exceeds 91 wt%. Furthermore, the familiarity layer is preferably formed in larger coating thickness than the maximum surface roughness of the wear-resisting layer. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
