The method involves creating, for each digital image of a video and each spatial zone of the image, a transmission packet including a set of elementary entities of the spatial zone. The created transmission packets are interlaced such that two consecutive packets transport data relative to two different images and to two different spatial zones, and the transmission packets are then transmitted. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) method for receiving transmission packets of a video; (B) device for continuous transmission of a video through a communication network; (C) device for receiving transmission packets of a video; (D) program-storage medium.
