<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent peeling of a protecting member, destruction of an LSI, mal-connection of a gold wire, and the like when bending an IC card. <P>SOLUTION: This portable electronic device comprises a card base material K having a storage recessed portion 9, an IC module 1 having a substrate 2, the LSI 3 provided on the substrate 2, and the protecting member 6 covering the LSI 3, and stored in the storage recessed portion 9 at the side of the protecting member 6, and a plurality of recessed portions 12, 13 provided on the substrate 2 of the IC module 1 along the periphery of the protecting member 6 with a predetermined space. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
