PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear motion device capable of improving operability and durability. SOLUTION: In a ball screw 1 having a nut 4 having a nut side ball rolling groove 8 opposing to a spiral screw aide ball rolling groove 6 on an inner circumference surface threadedly engaged with a screw shaft 2 having the spiral screw side ball rolling groove 6 on an outer circumference surface, many balls 10 are rollably arranged in a spiral load rolling path 12 formed by the screw shaft side ball rolling groove 6 and the nut side ball rolling groove 8, cylindrical elastic body 20 is arranged to keep a center axis thereof in parallel with a rolling body rolling path, and the elastic body 20 is formed to satisfy each condition expression (L/d)≥1 and da>d when axial length of the elastic body 20 is defined as L, diameter is defined as d and diameter of a ball 10 is defined as da.
