PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door chain device preventing illegal unlocking even if a ruler or the like is inserted by narrowing the open width of a door. SOLUTION: This door chain device latches a door chain provided on the door receiving side, to a slide groove 2 of a receiving rail 1 provided on the door side, through a hook bolt 4 at the tip, wherein the surface of the receiving rail 1 is formed into an inclined face gradually lowered from a door receiving side end 1a toward the other end 1b.
