PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide underwear generating negative ions and also far-infrared rays, maintaining ventilation for underwear, and produced in large quantities at a low price. SOLUTION: The underwear is formed of fibers and provided with far-infrared ray generating films 2 each comprising powder of mineral substance 4 such as ceramic powder, black silica or serpentine, and mineral substance 5 such as germanium powder. A lot of circular or polygonal small piece films 3 are arranged separately from each other in a prescribed range to form each of the far-infrared ray generating films 2. The negative ions are emitted from the far-infrared ray generating films 2 together with far-infrared rays so that the body of a wearer is moderately warmed to increase heat retention, and sweat broken out from her (his) skin are emitted between the small piece films 3 forming the far-infrared ray generating films 2.
