POLYMERIZABLE MONOMER COMPOSITION AND GAS BARRIER FILM FORMED BY USING THE SAME AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME FILM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method capable of producing a unilamellar or multilamellar gas barrier film excellent in gas barrier property by simple steps. SOLUTION: The method for producing the gas barrier film comprises a step 1 for forming a coated film by applying a polymerizable monomer composition containing anα,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer and a polymerizable polyfunctional (meth)acrylate having two or more carbon-carbon double bonds as a functional group in a weight ratio of (1:99) to (99.9:0.1) on to a base material and a step 2 for forming a crosslinked and cured coated film having≤50×10-4cm3(STP)/(m2×s×MPa) oxygen permeability measured under high humidity conditions of 30°C temperature and 80% relative humidity by subjecting the coated film to polymerization treatment by irradiation or heating of ionizing radiation or both of them.
