PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil-based uniform dispersion composition of a pigment having sufficient dispersion stability and service environmental durability as an ink, etc., for preparing various kinds of recordings or displays or display-related elements as an oil-based dispersion composition of the pigment by uniformly dispersing various kinds of pigments in an oil-based medium, especially a silicone oil with a specific dispersing agent and to establish a method for producing the composition. SOLUTION: The oil-based uniform dispersion composition of the pigment is characterized as follows. A dispersion medium which is an essential component is a silicone oil consisting essentially of dimethylpolysiloxane and a dispersoid which is the essential component is an inorganic or an organic pigment. A dispersing agent which is the essential component is selected from a polyoxyethylene-methylpolysiloxane copolymer and a polyvinylbutyral in selecting the essential components of the oil-based uniform dispersion composition of the pigment.
