PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation switch for a game machine, which is not affected by dust and dirt, and by electric decoration, prevents an illegal timing operation using an optical fiber, and prevents the illegal timing operation using external excitation being the weak point of a magnetic sensor. SOLUTION: A magnet 70 is attached to a push button 61 to be moved in a switching operation. The magnetic sensor 72 is arranged on a printed circuit board 71 in accordance with the magnet 70, and detects a change in a magnetic flux density which is generated when the magnet 70 comes close to or is separated from the magnetic sensor 72 due to the switching operation, and the magnetic sensor 72 outputs a signal concerning the switching operation. The magnetic sensor 72 is attached so that its magnetic flux detecting direction is orthogonal to a direction for performing the switching operation. The magnetic sensor 72 is enclosed by a magnetic protector 100 in its circumference and is arranged approximately near the center of the inner space of the magnetic protector 100.
