An agent (I) for oral administration, comprising 80 mg of polyphenol (per dosage unit) in the form of extract from Cistus plant, preferably Cistus incanus and 2 mg of vitamin E and optionally with further active agents, vitamins, minerals and/or usual formulation auxiliary agents, is new. ACTIVITY : Antimicrobial. MECHANISM OF ACTION : None given.
