The invention relates to a solid, dispersed, stable composition comprising PHMBG, or a mineral acid salt of PHMBG and an oxygenating agent, selected from the peracids or the salts thereof. In one method for production, the peracids are selected from the percarboxylic acids such as percarbonic or perboric acids, alone or in mixtures and the salts thereof are selected among the salts of alkaline metals such as sodium or potassium salts. In one composition the salts are sodium or potassium perborates or sodium or potassium percarbonates, alone or in mixtures and the mineral acid salt of PHMBG is the hydrochloride.
