PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the torque ripples (and cogging torque) of a motor. SOLUTION: In 12 teeth 31a-31c of an armature core 30 of a motor, pitch angles between the teeth 31a, 31b are made different from the angles between the teeth 31a-31c. The arrangement by the pitch angle for 120°is repeated thrice in the circumferential direction. Also, the widths of the top of teeth 31a-31c are made different. Four-pole magnets are used as field magnets, arranged on the inside circumference of the core 30. This structure does not make all the pole centers of the field magnets correspond to the centers of the teeth, simultaneously, so that the torque ripples can be reduced along with the dispersion of the top width of the teeth. Furthermore, the torque ripples can be dispersed and reduced, by making the number of teeth more than that of poles of the field magnets. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
