PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC-DC converter that can turn off a switching element as quickly as possible when there arises a risk of erroneous operation at power interruption, irrespective of an inclination of power turn-off. SOLUTION: An inductor L1 and the switching element Q1 are connected to the DC power supply of an input voltage Vin in series. The switching element Q1 is turned on and off by the control circuit IC1 constituted of an IC. A pulsating flow generated by the turning-on/off of the switching element is rectified and smoothed by a diode D1 and a capacitor C1, and fed to a load 1. At this time, the output of a driver DRV1 is turned on within a prescribed time after a maximum duty signal from a maximum duty limiting circuit 13 is brought into a full-on state by a duty-limit erroneous operation prevention circuit 15.
