PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image-forming apparatus and an image data outputting method, where a long size image can be formed without using a memory of large capacity and performance at the time of long size image printing processing is not deteriorated. SOLUTION: The image data of a plotted band which are stored in an image memory 66 are transferred to an HDD 75 to open a storage area in which the band exists and bands are successively developed on the opened image memory 66 to develop long size image data in the image memory 66 which is a restricted recording area.
