PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a remote controller for easily switching channels at the time of using only a function for switching channels under the consideration that since the number of buttons of a remote controller is increased in recent years, it is difficult for a senior person or handicapped person to use the remote controller, and that since it is necessary even for a person who does not use many buttons, and needs only a basic function for switching channels to look for those buttons even at the time of operating the remote controller at a dark place, it is difficult for the person to use the remote controller. SOLUTION: This television remote control unit for remotely operating a television is provided with a weight body inside a remote controller and a vibration sensing part and a channel selection part. The weight body inside the remote controller is moved by using an inertial force to be generated at the time of vibrating the remote controller main body so as to be brought into contact with the vibration sensing part, and the broadcasting channel of the television is switched by the channel selection part when the vibration is sensed by the vibration sensing part.
