PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device of a belt system capable of minimizing the increase of heat capacity, preventing occurrence of paper wrinkles and preventing an endless belt from being biased. SOLUTION: The fixing device is composed of: a fixing roller, which has a heating source and heats a recording material carrying an unfixed image; the endless belt, which is in contact with the fixing roller; and a pressurizing pad, which forms a fixing nip by being brought into a press contact with the fixing roller while holding the endless belt. In the fixing device, the pressurizing pad is composed of an elastic member and a supporting member, and ribs are formed on the supporting member.
