The support has an elastic lordosis shield (10) with an adjustment device for adjusting and setting the curvature of the shield. The shield is resiliently arranged at a backrest of a seat and is held at guiding units in the backrest. The shield has a control unit (22) on its inwardly curved side. The control unit engages at a springy bearing of the shield based on the curvature, and controls a hardness adjustment of the support.
