The device has a geometrical insert (5) for insertion into a fuel injection nozzle to divert the flow of grinding paste or fluid so that this is accurately fed into the injection orifices (2,3) so that either only parts of all the orifices are permeated by the fluid or paste. The geometrical insert fits sealingly against a nozzle seat (4) of the injection nozzle. The insert is made of plastics or rubber in the area where it sits on the nozzle seat.
