The method involves determination of number of remainder operating cycles of security relevant consumer load as a measure for the service life. The open circuit voltage U0kenn=f(Temp, SoC) as well as internal resistance Rikenn=f(Temp, SoC) is stored in the form of characteristic curves depending on temperature and state of charge (SoC). An estimated value of the state of charge is determined by the measurement of the open circuit voltage, measurement of internal resistance and the temperature and by backward metering of the characteristic curves.
