PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure stirring of the pigment ink stored in a printer, after the pigment ink settles therein. SOLUTION: A magnetic element coated with a solvent-resistant resin is directly inserted in the liquid storage part of an ink tank, and a plurality of permanent magnets are displaced within the moving range of the carriage inside the printer. This allows the magnetic element coated with the solvent-resistant resin within the tank to move by being effected with the permanent magnets inside the printer by the movement of the carriage to stir the settled ink.
