FLAT PLATE FLUORESCENT LAMP AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY HAVING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat plate fluorescent lamp improved in luminance uniformity.

SOLUTION: The flat plate fluorescent lamp comprises a lamp main body which is divided by a plurality of discharge spaces and emits light and first external electrodes 410 which are formed at both ends of the lamp main body in order to impress discharge voltage. The first external electrode comprises a main electrode part 412 formed so as to cross the discharge space, a first auxiliary electrode part 414 extended from the main electrode part corresponding to the discharge space adjoining the outer edge, and a second auxiliary electrode part 416 which is extended selectively from the first auxiliary electrode part with a width smaller than the first auxiliary electrode part. The flat plate fluorescent lamp further comprises a floating electrode 420 which is separatged from the second auxiliary electrode part for a prescribed distance and is formed along the longitudinal direction of the first auxiliary electrode part.
