<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial blood vessel having a characteristic which is close to the bleed vessel of a living body. <P>SOLUTION: The artificial blood vessel is perfectly circular (a first form) in the cross sectional shape of a vessel wall 2 when prescribed inner pressure works. When the inner pressure does not work, the cross sectional shape of the vessel wall 2 is the shape, which is obtained by combining a steep curve 4 with a curvature, where a certain value is added to the curvature of the vessel wall 2 when the prescribed inner pressure works, with a gentle curve 3 with the curvature, where a certain value is subtracted from the curvature of the vessel wall 2 when the prescribed inner pressure works, i.e., an oval shape, an oblong shape, or a gourd shape (a second form). The artificial blood vessel is repetitively deformed between the first form (perfect circle) and the second form (oval, oblong, and gourd shape, etc.) by following small pressure at a degree being substantially the same as that of blood pressure to act on the blood vessel of the living body. Consequently, an effect is expected, that thrombus is prevented from being generated on the inner surface of the vessel wall 2 and is prevented from growing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
