PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photothermographic dry imaging material and an image forming method having high image density at high-speed development and superior in a silver tone and image preservability under photoirradiation. SOLUTION: In the silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material having on a support a photosensitive layer containing an organic silver salt, salver halide particles, a binder, and a reducing agent, the photosensitive layer includes a compound expressed by general formula (RD1) in combination with a specified compound.
