PORTABLE TELEPHONE EQUIPPED WITH DRIVE RECORDER FUNCTION

A portable telephone equipped with a drive recorder function for dealing with traffic accident of vehicle, or the like, by incorporating a sensor circuit in the portable telephone having a video recording function. At an appropriate position of a vehicle, e.g. an automobile or a motorcycle, the portable telephone having the video camera function incorporating the sensor section circuit is secured to a cradle capable of charging the portable telephone while directing a photography camera toward the traveling direction so that motion picture photography is carried out in endless video recording mode at all times. When the sensor section senses variation in acceleration or impact due to crash or abrupt braking, switching is made to one time video recording mode so that video images and voices are recorded and stored for a predetermined time before and after the moment of crash or abrupt braking, and are used later for investigating the cause of accident or judgment in insurance negotiation.
