<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic composite material having light transmittance heightened by mixing fine particles having high dispersibility; and to provide an optical element and a method for producing the thermoplastic composite material. <P>SOLUTION: The thermoplastic composite material is obtained by mixing the fine particles having ≥50% hydrophobicity measured by a methanol titration test, and ≥1 nm and ≤30 nm particle diameters. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
