<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development device and an image forming apparatus with improved stirring property for the developer. <P>SOLUTION: The development device is provided with a stirring roller 7 for stirring a developer; a developing roller 3 for transporting the developer to an electrostatic latent image; a regulation member 4 for regulating the amount of the developer transported from the developing roller 3 to the electrostatic latent image; and a flow-back plate 6 for returning the surplus developer produced by regulation by the regulation member 4 to the stirring roller 7, with one edge of the reflux plate 6 disposed above the stirring roller 7, wherein the one edge of the reflux plate 6 is of a nonlinear shape with a plurality of protrusions 6a formed therein. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
