PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picking support system for supporting picking operation and/or sorting operation for articles capable of rapidly and effectively performing treatment by suppressing the delay of communication, a picking support method, a controller for the presentation device. SOLUTION: In this picking support system, when a computer for control first transmits a control instruction to the controller for the presentation device (link box), it is brought into a wait state until it receives a state generating signal from the controller for the presentation device (S13).
