PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a test object to be properly irradiated with testing purpose radio wave without incurring an increase in cost of an amplifier used for transmitting the testing purpose radio wave in the case of carrying out an EMC test (particularly, an immunity test). SOLUTION: The amplifier 20 contained in a metallic housing and amplifying a high frequency signal is fixed to an outer wall of a waveguide 32 extendedly provided on a rear end side of a horn 34 in a horn antenna 30 for emitting the testing purpose radio wave, and the high frequency signal for emitting the testing purpose radio wave is given to the horn antenna 30 via the amplifier 20. As a result, a short length of a coaxial cable 31 connecting the amplifier 20 to the horn antenna 30 is adopted so as to be capable of reducing the transmission loss of the high frequency signal, and a low output amplifier can be employed for the amplifier 20. Since heat from the amplifier 20 can be emitted via the horn antenna 30, it is not required that a fin or the like for heat dissipation is provided on the amplifier 20. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
