PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire tread comprising tread blocks capable of improving lowered hydroplaning performance. SOLUTION: The tread block 12a of the tread 10 comprises first and second side walls 30 and 38. The first side wall 30 forms a front edge part, and the front edge part is positioned to adjoin a lateral groove 18a, while it adjoins the second wall 38 at an angular part 40a. The second side wall 38 adjoins a circumferential groove 16 crossing the lateral groove 18a. The circumferential groove 16 forms a water channel along the second side wall 38. A new range above the front edge part forms an obtuse angleθ1to the direction of water flow 56 in the circumferential groove 16 to restrict deviation of the water flow 56 from the circumferential groove 16 into the lateral groove 18. An abraded range below the front edge part forms an obtuse angleθ2to the direction of the water flow in the circumferential groove 16 to deviate the water flow 56 from the circumferential groove 16 into the lateral groove 18.
