PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and light-weight stereomicroscope capable of maintaining light-weighting necessary for carrying and securing stability when a camera is attached thereto. SOLUTION: The stereomicroscope has a base 1 on which a sample is placed, a microscope main body 9 having a pair of right and left observation optical systems for observing the sample and a photographic optical system nearly aligned with the center of the collimation of the observation optical system and guiding light from the sample to an imaging means 17, a support part 3 provided on the base 1 and holding the microscope main body 9, a holding means 11 holding the imaging means 17, and a coupling means 13 rotatably coupling the microscope main body 9 with the support part 3.
