PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescence endoscope device and an imaging unit used therefor capable of acquiring plural kinds of information to feature a lesion at an observation and converting the information to a useful image for diagnosis, which realizes highly precise diagnosis of the lesion with little structural change of anatomy such as early cancer or the like by endoscopic observation. SOLUTION: The fluorescence endoscope device includes a light source unit 3 that creates multiple excitation lights having different wavelengths, an illumination unit 2 that optically transmits the excitation lights to a tip part of the endoscope and illuminates a living organism, and an imaging unit 1 that includes an objective optical system 33 and an image pickup device 36. The imaging unit 1 is capable of acquiring images of fluorescent lights having different wavelengths that are emitted by multiple fluorescent substances. When a number of the excitation lights created by the light source unit 3 is n (n is a natural number of ≥2), and a number of the images of fluorescent lights having different peak wavelengths acquired by the imaging unit 1 is m, n<m<3n is satisfied.
