The invention relates to processing metallurgy raw material. The inventive method consists in moving an iron-oxides containing material and an oppositely circulating reduction gas which consists of a hydrogen and a carbon monoxide by means of hydrocarbon conversion by oxidants, in reducing said material in such a way that iron is produced and in evacuating a waste gas. The heating and conversion of hydrocarbons by oxidants are carried out by means of plasma jets in a gas generator (7). Said method also consists in forming a closed circulating flow of flue gases from the top section of a reactor to the lower section thereof through said gas generator, in taking out the part of the flow, cleaning said part, in increasing a pressure to a pressure required for the operation of plasmotron (10) in the conversion area of the gas generator, passing said part of gases through the plasma jets and in mixing it with the main flow. The device for carrying out said method comprises the plasma gas generator (7) which is mounted in the flue gas circuit and connected to the reduction area of the reactor and a unit (12) for preparing flue gases for the plasmotrons (10) which is provided with in-series connected cyclones (13) for cleaning gases, a bag filter (14), a heat exchanger (15) and a compressor (16). Said invention makes it possible to accelerate the production and to improve the purity of a target product. |
